Botox is a toxin obtained from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It has a temporary effect by stopping the contraction of facial muscles. Approximately 3-6 months later, the new neuromuscular structure develops and muscle movement begins again. Botox can be applied as soon as you notice the formation of mmic lines when you look in the mirror.
In Which Areas Is Botox Applied?

Botox is a very short procedure that takes approximately 5-10 minutes. In the treatment area, injections are made under the skin at certain points with the help of small needles. The effect of Botox begins 3 days after application and is fully evident in 7-15 days. Botox is checked approximately 10-15 days after application and inadequate areas or asymmetries are corrected.
İşlemin yapıldığı gün çok eğilip kalkmamalı, uygulama yapılan alanlara masaj yapılmamalı, duş alınmamalıdır.
Botox effectiveness decreases in those using aminoglycosides, Ca channel blockers (blood pressure medication), penicillamine, quinine, magnesium and cyclosporine. After Botox, around the eyes and forehead procedures; There may be side effects such as temporary frown lines, droopy eyelids and double vision. These side effects, which are very rare, resolve spontaneously within 1-2 months. While waiting for the effect of the procedure to wear off, discomfort caused by side effects can be relieved by using special eye drops.
After applying Botox between the eyebrows and on the forehead, the eyebrows rise. This is related to the person's eyebrow structure. Raised eyebrows usually give a young and dynamic appearance. But in some cases, eyebrows rise higher than necessary, causing an uncomfortable appearance. If a forehead movement is performed before Botox, it can be understood in advance how high the eyebrows will rise. By placing a small amount of botox on the eyebrows, excessive elevation of the eyebrows can be prevented.
The risk of bruising is high in those who use aspirin, painkillers, blood thinners and green tea. If possible, it is beneficial not to take these substances 5-7 days before the treatment.
